Quail Ridge Books & Music & Embezzling

publishing news No Comments »

According to the News & Observer,  a former bookkeeper at Quail Ridge Books & Music, Raleigh, N.C., has been arrested and charged with embezzling $348,975 from the bookstore since 2001! The former employee is Anna Susan Kosak. She worked at the store from 1998 - 2001 and again from 2004 until this past September. However, when she left in September the reason was unrelated to the embezzling charge.

Apparently the theft went undetected because the money disappeared over a such long period of time.
