Have you finished up your holiday shopping? How many people did you buy a book for? How many people are you going to buy a book for?
Remember that books are great gifts too! And also remember to shop at some indie bookstores. If we all keep shopping at the big discount places there will be no more indie bookstores left. So, be sure to stop in an indie bookstore today. And support a local business!
Do you consider yourself to be a writer? If so, where do you go for writing help? There are a lot of writing groups that meet in various cities. Most times you can find these writers groups at your local bookstores. So, if you are a writer and need some help or want to bounce some ideas off of someone you should look for a listing of writers groups in your area. Another option is to look for online support. You might be able to find a Yahoo writers group or something similar to offer you the help and support that you need.
If you are looking for a place to sell your manuscript, check out this listing on StoryLink.

I love when I happen upon random but true facts in the process of my researching. I feel ashamed that I knew nothing about this, but I didn’t, and I find it incredibly interesting. I did know the meaning. I guess I just never stopped to think about what I was actually saying.
whence  (hwns, wns)
1. From where; from what place
2. From what origin or source
The word ‘whence’ includes a form of the word ‘from,’ so when it is said, ‘from whence it came,’ it is actually said, ‘from from whence it came’.
Are you looking for some writing contests? If so, here are a few new ones on the radar. Be sure to check these out and make sure you read all the fine print!
