There is good news in the air for Books A Million. According to Publishers Weekly they have a reason to cheer about their sales.

Sales at Books-A-Million rose 6.3% in the third quarter, to $117.7 million. That was driven by a 2.1% increase in same store sales. Commercial fiction was noted as being one of the strong genres. Autobiographies and religion books also did well for them.

The New York Anime Festival, a new fan festival and trade show focused on Japanese animation and manga publishing, will be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City the weekend of December 7th -9th, 2007.
